Responses Requested: Public Engagement for Transportation Agencies

In This Article:

Public engagement is evolving rapidly for transportation agencies, and it is more important than ever to monitor the state of the practice. A volunteer research team of transportation professionals is soliciting responses about current public involvement practices from every state and regional transportation organization in the U.S., with the results to be used in a research report shared with practitioners who respond.

NADO and RPO America are among the partners sharing the public engagement query with transportation practitioners. Other partners include the Transportation Research Board (TRB), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), National Association of Regional Councils (NARC), and more.

Click here to learn more and respond by June 16. This research effort may become the broadest review ever conducted on transportation and public engagement. With so much happening in public engagement, the timing of the initiative will prove to be useful for the responding practitioners.
