New information is available about 2023 funding opportunities from the federal government. These programs can be used to fund transportation and other types of issue areas.

The White House has shared the Inflation Reduction Act Guidebook addressing clean energy, climate mitigation and resilience, agriculture, and conservation-related tax incentives and investment programs included in the law. For each program, the guide identifies the federal funding agency and statutory reference, as well as eligible activities and applicants and any cost share requirements.

In addition, Department of Transportation (DOT) has released a calendar of anticipated dates that Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) for major 2023 funding programs. To help potential applicants prepare for these opportunities, DOT also developed a Discretionary Grant Preparation Checklist.
