Upcoming FTA Webinar for Community-Based Organizations

The FTA will be hosting a series of Transit Community Organization Webinars, with the first taking place over Zoom on April 13th from 1-2pm ET. You can register for Understanding Federal Roles, Programs, and Resources to Support Transit at this link. Updates on the complete series and future webinars will be available at this link.

The series will detail FTA’s mission, programs, and role in local projects. Members of community-based organizations and non-profits championing public transportation, bicycling and pedestrian safety, and Complete Streets are encouraged to attend, both to learn more about FTA resources and provide feedback on their experiences with them. The first webinar’s focus areas will include:

  1. Funding opportunities and eligibility requirements
  2. Technical assistance and other regional resources
  3. Roles and oversight for federal and local government
  4. Prioritization of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law resources

Featured speakers will include FTA Administrator Nuria Fernandez and USDOT Director of Public Engagement Lynda Tran. Registrants are encouraged to submit questions, as a panel of FTA and USDOT officials will be available to discuss local community needs and initiatives.
