TRB Releases Report on Attracting Investment to GA Airports

In This Article:

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) has released the synthesis report Attracting Investment at General Aviation Airports Through Public–Private Partnerships.  Although airport support has been largely from federal, state, and local sources, constrained funding options lead airports to look toward public-private partnerships (PPPs) as an alternative way to engage the private sector in general aviation airports.  The report includes an overview of types of contracts, as well as results of a survey of general aviation airport management and case studies of airports that have used PPPs.
