In September 2019, the National Association of Counties (NACo) released a new online publication, Connected and Automated Vehicles Toolkit A Primer for Counties.  The toolkit contains an overview of the technologies, policy such as federal guidance and state and local regulations regarding connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles, as well as partnerships to study and deploy implementations of advanced vehicle technology, and questions for county leaders to consider with regard to their own county’s context and existing and future policies.
