Grant Opportunities for Hometowns, Communities, and Transportation Solutions

Three grant opportunities are currently available from T-Mobile, America Walks, and the National Center for Mobility Management:

T-Mobile Hometown Grants
In partnership with Main Street America and Smart Growth America, T-Mobile is committing $25 million toward small town grants over the next five years through its Hometown Grants program. The program will award up to 100 towns per year with project funding grants of up to $50,000 each. The program will focus on revitalizing community spaces in towns with 50,000 people or less. Main Street programs are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis.

America Walks Community Change Grants
America Walks and Active People, Health Nations partners have announced another round of Community Change Grant program funding. This program will award grantees $1,500 in community stipends for projects related to creating healthy, active, inclusive, accessible and engaged places to live, work, and play. The application portal will open in September, 2021.

National Center for Mobility Management 2021 Ready-to-Launch Grants
The Federal Transit Administration, though the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) is accepting applications for Ready-to-Launch grants. Recipients will receive grants up to $75,000 for communities to pilot a promising mobility solution, the development of which was inspired and informed by the results of community research. The solution being proposed must be a new idea, not the expansion or continuation of an existing service. The solution also must address transportation equity. Application deadline is October 15, 2021.
