Federal Transit Administration Announces Competitive Funding Program for Areas of Persistent Poverty

On June 30, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration announced the availability of $16 million for funding for transit in areas of persistent poverty.  Eligible applicants include States, tribes, and designated or direct recipients eligible under 49 U.S.C. 5307, 49 U.S.C. 5310, or 49 U.S.C. 5311.
