USDOT Seeks Comment on Transportation Research and Development

In This Article:

The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act directed the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a five-year strategic plan to guide federal research and development activities.  The research and development program addresses the following goals: improving mobility of people and goods; reducing congestion; promoting safety; improving the durability and extending the life of transportation infrastructure; preserving the environment; and preserving the existing transportation system.  The agency is seeking information from practitioners and stakeholders on emerging challenges and opportunities, knowledge gaps, partnerships with non-federal partners, and other topics.  View the request for information or submit comments to the docket here.
