2015 Transportation Planning Excellence Awards Program, Webinar Part 2

Public Involvement and Outreach; Modeling and Technology Applications; as well as Emergency Management and Transportation Security Planning are some of the topics to be examined in this webinar, featuring winners of the Transportation Planning Excellence Award.  The award is a biennial program of the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, and co-sponsored by the American Planning Association.  Another webinar with different content will cover other award winners on August 26.

During the September 2 webinar, Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission (RVARC), the planning district for the Roanoke Valley in Virginia; Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro), the service provider for Austin, Texas; Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT); and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will provide information on their award-winning projects.

  • Todd Hemingson – Capital Metro in Texas
  • Michael Mason – ODOT
  • Mark Gieseke – MnDOT

FHWA has moved to a new registration system in an External SharePoint site which will provide the users with exciting new features such as:

The account issuance takes approximately one business day.  Once you receive your account information, you can access the site by clicking on the registration link and logging in.  DOT users do not have to create an account in order to register.  They can click on the registration link and use their DOT credentials to access the site.
