FHWA Webinar: Scenario Planning Applications for Freight Transportation

Due to high interest, a second webinar focused on freight scenario planning will be held by the Federal Highway Administration. Registration for the first webinar scheduled for July 30th from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM ET is already full, so people interested in attending the Freight Scenario Planning webinar who have not already registered for the July 30th webinar should register for this webinar. The presentation content for both webinars is identical; registrants only need to attend one of the webinars. This webinar, led by the FHWA Office of Freight Management & Operations and the FHWA Office of Planning, will explore the use of scenario planning as a way to inform freight infrastructure and supply chain management activities and investments. Scenario planning is an analytical process that can help public and private sector transportation professionals plan for the future and better understand what changes might happen in the future. Agencies are increasingly finding value in applying the principles of scenario planning to freight transportation planning and decision-making.
