FHWA Webinar: Regional Models of Cooperation – Regional Collaboration in Congestion Management

February 11, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Office of Planning, Environment, and Realty will host the free webinar Regional Models of Cooperation – Regional Collaboration in Congestion Management on February 11, 1 – 2:30 ET.

Presenters will discuss their region’s successful cooperative efforts around congestion management in complex regions with multiple agencies or jurisdictions. MPOs often work together with neighboring MPOs, with local jurisdictions, and with State DOTs to comprehensively measure and address congestion at a regional scale. This webinar will feature examples from the Philadelphia, PA, Rochester, NY, and Portland, OR regions, where MPOs, incident responders, and transit agencies are working together to manage regional congestion.

Presenters include:

  • Zoe Neaderland, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
  • Joe Bovenzi, Genesee Transportation Council
  • Alan Lehto, Tri-County Metropolitan District of Oregon

This webinar will also feature an overview of Planning for Operations in congestion management, presented by the FHWA Office of Operations (Wayne Berman).
