Webinar: Unpaved Roadway Safety

The National Center for Rural Road Safety and the National Local Technical Assistance Program Association (NLTAPA) are co-hosting a free, 1.5-hour online webinar on the topic of unpaved roadway safety. The webinar will occur on Thursday, November 30, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with speakers from the Federal Highway Administration and Local Technical Assistance Programs.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize the need for discussions on unpaved road safety,
  • Identify safety issues in gravel road maintenance operations,
  • Illustrate the potential safety effectiveness of traffic control devices, and
  • Summarize the next steps for unpaved road safety.

This training is directed towards a very broad safety audience including, but not limited to, law enforcement, planners, engineers, first responders, elected officials, public health, tourism agencies, and safety culture experts. Participants should have some basic familiarity with transportation safety.
