Talking Tech and Transportation Webinars on 11/20 and 12/4

The U. S. Department of Transportation’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) has announced two upcoming webinars in its Talking Technology and Transportation (T3) series.

On November 20, 1 – 2:30 p.m. ET, the webinar Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) and Mobility on Demand (MOD): Concepts and Examples will occur. The webinar identifies the connections between TSMO and MOD to balance demand and supply on the system. Two recent and ongoing regional and State efforts in this area are presented. Recent research and reference material from FHWA on TSMO and its role in supporting MOD and travel demand management are also highlighted.  Learn more and register online here.  This webinar will be part of a series on MOD.

On December 4, 1 – 2:30 p.m. ET, the webinar Impacts of Automation: What States, Cities, and MPOs Need to Know will occur. This 90-minute webinar will explore the likely impacts of automation, performance measures for AV testing, and what transportation planners are doing to consider automation in the long-range planning process and should also be beneficial for RTPOs to attend.
