Safety Center Webinar on 10/27: Examining Rural Traffic Safety Culture

On October 27, 1 – 2:30 p.m. ET, the National Center for Rural Road Safety will hold the webinar Examining Rural Traffic Safety Culture: An Appalachia Case Study. Dr. Wes Kumfer, UNC Highway Safety Research Center, will review a recently completed project examining traffic safety in the Appalachian Region. He will discuss unique traffic safety characteristics that exist in the Appalachian Region and link these statistics to rural road safety. He will highlight potential measures to address safety concerns and bright spots in Appalachia’s traffic safety profile.
