The Rural Health Information Hub (RHIhub) has developed a Rural Transportation Toolkit, recognizing that a significant barrier to achieving rural health outcomes is access to health facilities and services, including transportation. The toolkit contains resources and information focused on developing, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining rural transportation programs, including information on various models and examples. Formerly known as the Rural Assistance Center, RHIhub is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy to be a national clearinghouse on rural health issues.
