Are you interested in boosting the engagement of business and economic development stakeholders in your transportation planning processes? Do you need to better understand their perspectives on transportation infrastructure? Want to pick up some tips on communication and engagement strategies that will help you strengthen your relationships with private sector partners, leverage new funding sources, and prioritize infrastructure investments that support regional economic prosperity? If so, please join the NADO Research Foundation for our second virtual peer exchange on collaborative transportation and economic development planning. This peer exchange, to be held July 11 from 1:00-3:30 pm ET, will delve into the fine art of stakeholder engagement, providing approaches, best practices, and interactive exercises tailored to working with business and economic development partners.

Click here to register. Space is limited, as this will be a small and highly interactive virtual training. Participants will be asked to actively engage in discussions and activities, to attend the entire 2.5-hour session, and to complete a brief exercise before the event. The draft agenda is available here.

This training is the second installment of ‘On the Road to Prosperity: Fostering Collaborative Transportation and Economic Development Planning,’ a series of five virtual peer exchanges exploring how transportation and economic development planning practitioners can work together to maximize the economic impact of infrastructure investments, grow businesses and jobs, and strengthen the livability and vitality of communities and regions.  These peer exchanges are conducted with support from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
