The deadline for submitting an abstract for the National Rural Transportation Conference has been extended to September 2. Submit your presentation ideas online here. Presentations can focus on any aspect of rural and small metro transportation planning and delivery, including any mode, performance measurement, public engagement, project prioritization, safety, local official role in transportation planning, relationships with state DOTs and other state agencies or modal owners, productivity and technology in planning agencies, innovative uses of GIS for transportation, accessibility, and more.
The conference will occur December 3 – 5 in Cincinnati, Ohio and will feature a combination of plenary panels, best practice sessions, and on-site and off-site workshops. Most of the abstracts that are accepted will be placed into best practice sessions with presentation times of about 15 minutes. If you have an idea for an alternative format, please contact NADO Associate Director Carrie Kissel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About 150 attendees are expected to participate. More details on the conference can be found at http://www.nado.org/events/rpo2014.
