ITS ePrimer Webinar on 5/2: Port Operations

The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) – Joint Program Office (JPO) Professional Capacity Building (PCB) Program, the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) and the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) will hold a webinar on Thursday, May 2, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. ET to provide an overview of ITS related to port operations.  The presentations will examine key elements involved in planning, evaluating, financing, and deploying ITS projects that can address congestion and other transportation network challenges experienced by ports.  Register for the webinar here.

This webinar will present an overview of a new module of the ITS ePrimer, an online resource that helps reader to better understand how ITS is integrated into the planning, design, deployment, and operations of surface transportation systems.  Other modules include rural and regional ITS applications, management, operations, connected vehicles, and many others.  The port operations module will be the 15th module in the ITS ePrimer.  Learn more about the ePrimer and view the modules here.
