The Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration have begun to release resources on the FAST Act, Fixing America’s Surface Transportation, which was signed by President Obama on December 4. 2015.

FHWA’s FAST Act resources include slides from a recent webinar presentation, funding tables, fact sheets on several programs, and early guidance on certain issues, as well as links to the text of the legislation.  More information will be released over time.

FTA’s FAST Act information includes a summary of changes (PDF) to grant programs, as well as fact sheets about FTA programs.

In addition, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) maintains information about transportation law and regulations on its website.  Because of the extensive policy changes included in the 2012 surface transportation law Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21), regulations and guidance are still being proposed and finalized on some topics.  Click here to view AASHTO’s resources and analysis of both the FAST Act and MAP-21 implementation.
