New Resources on Connected and Autonomous Vehicles

In This Article:

Several new resources on connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles have been announced from transportation and planning organizations.

The American Planning Association has announced a new page of resources on autonomous vehicles in its Knowledge Base.  Some of the resources collected here are limited for APA members only or are available for the purchase of a single item, but others are free to read or watch.  The resources provide an overview of how emerging transportation technologies affect planning for regions, as well as for cities.  View the new collection here: www.planning.org/resources/av.

On Thursday, November 16 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Transportation Research Board will hold a free webinar covering research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)’s Web-Only Document 239: Impacts of Laws and Regulations on CV and AV Technology Introduction in Transit Operations.

Also on Thursday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Institute of Transportation Engineers will hold a free webinar on Understanding and Applying Vehicle to Infrastructure Guidance (relating to connected vehicles).
