The National League of Cities has released a new report, Autonomous Vehicles: A Policy Preparation Guide.  This guide explains autonomous vehicle technology and related public policy and investment issues.  Although meant specifically for cities, the guide raises issues of interest to all local governments and regional planning bodies.  The guide brings up issues that could pertain to rural areas as nearby cities consider investing in connected infrastructure, including ensuring that infrastructure is deployed in a consistent manner along corridors into cities and between cities.
