The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has released its 2017 Infrastructure Report Card. Every four years, ASCE develops a report card giving grades for the nation’s infrastructure based on capacity, condition, funding, future need, operation and maintenance, public safety, resilience, and innovation. For 2017, ASCE has scored the nation’s overall infrastructure health as a D+, even with the 2013 grade. The report card provides separate grades for several different types of infrastructure, including multiple modes of transportation. This year, transportation-related grades range from a B for rail to a D- for transit. Learn more and find state infrastructure information at www.infrastructurereportcard.org.
